John Ruskin [1819 - 1900] He influenced countless architectural structures and ornamental work in Great Britain, he would address his monthly letters
to the workmen and Labourers of Great Britain 1871 to 1884

Here is one of them;

Journeymen consider this for a moment before you go and search out the man you want to work with you....

Its unwise to pay too much, but its worse to pay too little--that is all. when you pay too little , you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you
bought or hired was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do.

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot-- it cant be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add
something for the risk you run, and if you do that , you will have enough to pay for something better.
